I started at American Express and spent over a decade at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, one of the most profitable banks in the world, in progressive sales, coaching, and leadership roles. I didn't learn needs-based, relationship-first commercial culture from a textbook. I learned it from the inside, in one of the most demanding commercial environments on the planet.

From there I moved into senior global partnerships, working directly alongside Google for Education, Microsoft, Salesforce, Lenovo, and Samsung. I helped Fortune 500 companies execute their strategies, build relationships that stuck, and deliver commercial outcomes that actually moved the needle. Not as a junior. As a senior commercial operator trusted to represent some of the most recognizable brands in the world.

I also became a qualified teacher along the way. CELTA certified through the University of Cambridge. Because I don't just know what good commercial culture looks like. I know how to build it in people so it actually sticks.

But it was always the founders that stayed with me.

The ones building something real, with real people, who never had access to any of this thinking. Not because they weren't capable. Because nobody ever brought it to them.
